New Hair Cut for Santa!
Ethan got his first hair cut today. He was NOT a fan.
I think it was the noise of the clippers
OR
the fact that we had to hold his head still, so he could not wiggle.
He does a lot of that, the wiggling.
Whichever.
My cute friend from work cut his hair for me. Bless her!
Her name is FACE...

Okay, well actually its CARA but I call her FACE.
Cara in Spanish means FACE, hence her name FACE. (I bet you did not know that you were going to get a Spanish lesson, did ya?)
She is pregnant and due in February. I am hoping that Ethan and "baby FACE"
have the same birthday.
Then after cutting his hair, he snuggled with daddy while I got my hair cut.

I usually grow out my hair and then donate it to Locks of Love. I have done it 4 times and try to do it about every other year.
For those of you have babies, you know how much your hair changes from the birth and nursing and everything.
Well anyway, I did not donate my hair this time but next time for sure.
After getting our hair done, we went to go see Santa. Was not quite sure how he would react.
He did GREAT! He let Santa hold him, and just looked at him and tried to figure out who he was. Santa loved him and said he has been very good this year and he loved the new hair cut that was done just for him, Santa that is!

All quiet on the set!
This last week was a pretty stressful week for me (and when your pregnant, your stress level seems to rise). To top it off, I have been pretty sick during the pregnancy. So after a long, rough, sick and stressful day at work I come home to this...
A dozen red roses and the movie "Bedtime Stories" (one of my favs). Not only that but the house was spotless! The laundry was done, folded and put away (with only a little bit of hinting), the bathroom was sparkling clean and the rest of the house just had a quiet, clean, peaceful feeling. It felt like I was on the set of a tv show and as soon as I walked in someone said "All quiet on the set." The hubby was there saying, "I know you have been stressed so now you don't have to worry about cleaning. Just relax and watch a movie." I felt some stress release from my body. The hubby does not like me to clean when I am pregnant... mostly because of the chemicals. He has taken on the responsibility of doing the cleaning. I don't have to do much hinting or nagging. He can get a sense of when its time to clean. He does a wonderful job and I am very thankful and appreciative of him.
Baby Bear!
I am almost 16 weeks (just about 4 more weeks and then we get to find out what the sex of the baby is!) On my 9 week appointment we got an ultra-sound. We got to hear the heart beat. It was 178 (that is a really good, strong heart beat). It was so awesome to be able to hear the babies heart beat. During the ultra-sound I also got to see the baby. The baby was turned to the side but then flipped over so we could see the front side. I think that is when it finally sunk in that I was actually having a baby. Tears of joy filled my eyes. I was so proud of the baby for allowing me to see the face. I constantly tell the baby how proud I was and if only it could do that at the 20 week ultra-sound than mom and dad would be even more proud! Here is a picture of the ultrasound...
We think it looks like a teddy bear. We call it our 'little baby bear', at least until we find out what the sex is! We are so thankful for the opportunity to be parents. We will keep you updated when we have our 20 week appointment.
