Do you believe?

You've seen the movie...
We got to experience it!

The Polar Express.
Just like the movie... (well almost)
Bob and Loretta Prinkey (Shawn's parents), Emily, Me, Kenny, Addie,
Shawn and Sophie (Nat was taking picture)
Me, Kenny. Addie and Emily ready to get on the Polar Express.
We got on the train where they gave us hot cocoa and cookies.
And headed to the North Pole...
The North Pole is so beautifully decorated with lights
and of course, we saw Santa!
Mrs. Clause was there too.
We also got to see her.
Santa got on the train with us
and gave all the kids a bell.
I got a bell from Santa too, I think he thought I looked 12!
I rang the bell and I heard the beautiful sound it makes.
That must mean I believe, do you believe?
We sang Christmas songs while we headed back.
The kids wrote letters and drew pictures for Santa.
It was a Polar Express experience!

Locks of Love!

I cut my hair and donated 10 inches to Locks of Love!It is a non-profit organization that takes donated hair and makes headpieces and gives them to financially disadvantaged children who suffer from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.

This is my third time donating my hair. I like to try to help make a difference in the world and to give back. This is my way!
I may not be saving someones life but I am putting a smile on a childs face and helping to build their self-esteem and confidence.
If YOU want details on how YOU can donate, click here or just ask me!

One year and counting...

One year ago today, was one of the happiest days of my life.
It's when I married my best friend, my eternal companion, and the love of my life.
I remember is as though it was yesterday. It was perfect!

I hear a lot of people say that the first year is the hardest. It may have its challenges but I think the first year is when you learn the most...
about eachother...
about sacrifice...
about compromise...
the more you learn
the more you love.

The first year is behind us and although it was good, I am excited to see what the next years have in store for us. I know that years to come will be just as good if not better as we...
learn more
start a family (no, I am not announcing anything!)
and love eachother more with each passing day.

I am so thankful for Kenny in my life and that we will be together for eternity. He is the greatest husband anyone could ask for. I am looking forward to learning a lot more with the many years to come! One year and counting...
Happy Anniversary Kenny. I love you!

Happy Thanksgiving!

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep.
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.

The leftovers beckoned-The dark meat and white
But I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation
The thought of a snack became an infatuation.

So, I raged to the kitchen, flung open the door
And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

Gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
'til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.

But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees...
Happy Eating to all-pass the cranberries please!

Hope your stuffing was tasty, hope your turkey was plump.
Hope your potatoes 'n gravy had nary a lump
Hope you yams were delicious, hope your pies take the prize.
Hope your Thanksgiving dinner stays off of your thighs
Hope your Thanksgiving was blessed!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Trash Talk

At work, there is a lot of trash talk that goes on.
BYU vs Utah fans
It's about half and half.
We get into it.
I enjoy it!

This is a conversation I had with a guy at work yesterday.
Guy: The Utes are better [than BYU].
Me: Better in what?
Guy: Football.
Me: Not against Wyoming! Lol...
Guy: Lol... Wow Ash, I have never to say. I can't top that!

I am sure on Monday he will have a similar comment to say seeing that BYU ALMOST LOST (but, they didn't) to New Mexico today.
A win is a win right?!?!
Good job Cougs!

It will never end.
The trash talk.
It's okay. I enjoy it!

Just because...

The hubby bought me roses and a bag of snickers just because... (he knows what I love)

He often does little surprises for me.
(writes me cute little notes, buys me gifts, etc.)
just because...

I am so thankful for him and am so glad he is in my life. He is the best hubby anyone can ask for!

Thanks hubby for all you do! I love you so much.
